  • Spa ice-cream gets Royal approval

    Ian Richardson 27/08

THE ROYAL SHOW at Stoneleigh Park played host to the Prince of Wales, who indulged his sweet tooth and sampled a taste of Droitwich-based Churchfield Farmhouse ice cream. But despite a promising start, the home side fell behind in the fifth minute ...»

  • Knight decides to quit

    Rob George 22/08

BROMSGROVE ROVERS boss Duane Darby hailed Gary Knight as a true professional after the centre-back’s shock retirement on Monday. Ahead of this weekend’s double-header against Leighton Town and much-fancied Leamington, Darby told The Standard the former captain’s departure was a massive blow but praised the number six for his efforts for the Greens. Knight played 31 games for Rovers after he joined from Halesowen Town last November and Darby said the pair spoke on Monday ...»
