THE SPECIAL First World War commemorative book which contains pictures, a roll of honour and poetry done by Droitwich schoolchildren has now gone on sale in the town.

A total of 400 of the books have been printed and they are available at £5 from the Tourist Information Centre in St Richard’s House.

The stories and poems written by the youngsters are also part of an exhibition which is on display in the upstairs room of the town’s library.

Proceeds from the book, which is available to buy from the Royal British Legion in Salwarpe Road and the Tourist Information Centre in St Richard’s House, will be put towards the Poppy Appeal.
