HUNDREDS of pounds worth of valuables were stolen when two cars were broken into outside a town nursery.
And an attempt was made straight afterwards to use one of the credit cards taken in a nearby cash machine.
The incidents both happened between 5.20pm and 5.35pm on February 2 near Droitwich Spa Kindergarten.
The raiders used an unknown tool to gain access through the passenger window on both occasions.
In the first, a large black Radley handbag worth £300 and a burgundy Radley purse with pink stitching worth £100 were taken.
That contained a number of cards.
An Apple iPhone 4, a charger for it, Oakley sunglasses worth £100 and a £50 MP3 player were also stolen.
The damage to the window of the Seat Alhambra was £100.
The other theft saw an £80 Radley handbag and a £30 blue and white purse taken from a silver Volkswagen Passat. That contained £30 cash and a number of cards.
Following the attacks, a fraud was reported to the police as the thief or thieves tried to use a Nationwide credit card in the cash machine at Halifax.
