A NEW B&M Bargains store creating 50 new jobs will open its doors in Droitwich next month.

The finishing touches are currently being made to the 16,000 sq ft shop for its big launch on October 18.

The store will be on the Parkridge Retail Park, Kidderminster Road, which used to contain the Horsatack riding shop.

To mark the special occasion residents have been asked to vote for their local hero to become a VIP for the morning and take part in the store’s opening ceremony.

The worthy winner will also receive £250 worth of vouchers to spend in the shop.

Heroes can be any age and can be nominated by friends, family or work colleagues.

It can be someone who makes life better for people in the area, works hard for a particular cause or is renowned for their charity work.

Martin Rawling, the Droitwich B&M Bargains store manager, said: “We wanted a true VIP to officially open our new store and what better way than to ask customers to nominate those who make a real difference to people’s lives in and around Droitwich.”

Residents have until October 10 to email [email protected] to vote for their local hero.
