TUMBLING star Kallum Mulhall will be hoping to put judges in a spin when he competes for Great Britain in the World Age-Group Championships next month.

The 14-year-old from Bromsgrove will head to Florida on Sunday, November 9 to take part in the competition which will see some of the world’s most promising gymnasts go head-to-head at Daytona Beach.

His selection comes after he claimed gold in the Loule Cup International in Portugal last month and picked up silver at the British Championships in Liverpool two weeks ago.

Kallum, who attends North Bromsgrove High School and trains regularly at GMAC Centre in Perry Barr, came away with bronze at last year’s event in Bulgaria. But his father, Glynn, is confident Kallum, who will be among a team of four representatives from Great Britain, can challenge for gold this time around.

“He has already made it through the qualifiers so we hope he can do one better than last year.” he said. “If not, then as long as he puts in his best shot we will be proud.

“He is really looking forward to it and he is training so hard to get fit for it.”
