AN ALICE in Wonderland themed tea party at Westmead Day Care in Droitwich saw £57 raised for Macmillan Cancer Support.
Spa Mayor Coun Bob Brookes and Mayoress Veronica Brookes were special guests during the day where residents enjoyed cups of tea and cake.
There were large cardboard cut-outs of the characters from the Lewis Caroll novel, there were giant cups and saucers, tiered cake stands, bunting galore and even an appearance from the Cheshire Cat.
Ann Good, 101, said: “I absolutely loved the theme and how the room was decorated – it was fantastic.”
Doris Nicklin, 85, added: “It was important to raise money for such a good cause and we had a lot of fun while doing it.”
And Leslie Blyther, 91, said he had a lot of fun at the event, which had a really lovely ‘party atmosphere’.
