A DROITWICH man was handed a 12-month conditional discharge for causing caused £200 worth of damage to his ex-girlfriends home.
Lee Joseph Turner, of Trent Close, pleaded guilty at Worcester Magistrates’ Court last Friday (April 10) to damaging Danielle Williams’ door and mobile phone.
Adrian Jones, prosecuting, told the court the 21-year-old was in a relationship with Miss Williams which had recently ended and he went to her house believing they were getting back together but she actually told him it was over. He got upset and said she had played with his emotions and began to kick the door leaving a dent in it. When his ex-girlfriend went to call her friend she saw her phone on the floor, damaged. He accepted he was in an emotional state and has done everything he can to put things right.
Turner, who represented himself, said: “We have got a pretty decent relationship now, I have been working and paid £150 to renew her contract and put a new door on for her.”
District Judge Nigel Cadbury said: “This will be hanging over your head now, if you commit a new offence in 12 months you will be sentenced again for this.
“Keep out of trouble.
He also ordered Turner to pay £85 in court costs and a £15 victim surcharge.
