THERE have been some marvellous milestones reached at Age UK Droitwich after three volunteers notched up 36 years dedicated service between them.

Joan Davies, Judy Balls and Anne Hill marked the occasion with other volunteers and a star covered cake was also enjoyed as part of the celebrations.

Joan, who runs the Tuesday morning Scrabble Club, has been a volunteer with the organisation for 15 years and Judy has been a befriending volunteer for 11 years, while Ann has helped run the office for a decade.

Chief officer Jan Phillips said: “All our volunteers regularly and consistently donate their time to help us deliver services to older people in Droitwich Spa and the surrounding area, they are a fantastic example to us all.

“We hold regular volunteer meetings and training sessions which are lively events providing our volunteers with an opportunity to socialise and actively contribute to the development of our services and events.”
