A DROITWICH girl, wowed judges in a rose art competition with her fantastic drawing of the nations’ favourite flower.
It was all ‘rosy’ for talented Emilie Cartlet, of St Peter’s School, who beat of competitors, in the event hosted by the local home and garden centre.
Youngsters were challenged to create a picture of a rose, using their best drawing and colouring skills. The eight-year-old won £150 towards gardening equipment for her school.
Her teacher Catherine Baldwin said everyone was delighted with her success.
“The staff and I have been having a chat and it is likely we will be putting this fantastic prize money towards developing further our ‘Sensory Garden’, an extra special sanctuary for our children to admire and enjoy.”
Runners up in the competition, included of Holly, nine, Lucy, six , Finley, five, and Millie, also five, who each recieved a ‘goodie bag of delight’ for their individual efforts.
