THE FIRST Messy Church at Droitwich’s St Andrews Church and Parish Centre takes place between 10am and midday tomorrow (Saturday).
Two parishes have got together to organise the family event and 27 volunteers from all the churches in Droitwich are helping out.
The morning will be jam packed full of fun events including making sheep cup cakes, sheep puppets and sheep badges and also playing find the lost sheep.
There will be songs, a short talk and a free lunch, including sandwiches and cake. Children of all ages, accompanied by an adult, are welcome to the free event.
Nicky Faning, whose daughter Emily will be attending the Messy Church, said: “Emily will love the fun things to make and I am looking forward to getting to know other mums and dads.”
Rev Bev Jameson, the team vicar of Droitwich Spa, Salwarpe and Hindlip with Martin Hussingtree, said “Messy Church is great fun for children and adults alike.”
She added it was very exciting to be welcoming and meeting young people and families to such a great event.
The Parish Centre Cafe will be closed to the public tomorrow.
