YOUNG people from Droitwich Baptist Church raised more than £1,200 for charity with a 24-hour sponsored row.
The cash raised by the Boys and Girls Brigade will now go towards the Droitwich Spa Foodbank which, thanks to residents’ support, has managed to feed over 800 people since its launch a year ago.
The equipment for the feat was kindly loaned by Physique Gym.
Meg Richards, from the Droitwich Spa Foodbank, said: “We are so impressed and delighted at the effort and commitment of this group of young people who, supported by their leaders and parents, have raised this amazing sum of money.
“The money will be used to help those who find themselves in crisis and is clear evidence of the care demonstrated by the residents of Droitwich Spa, be they young or old.”
