FIREFIGHTERS had to use livestock’s drinking water to help put out a blaze in an agricultural building in Hanbury.
Crews from Bromsgrove, Redditch and Evesham attended the fire on Saturday (October 11) and it took two hose reel jets and compressed air foam to put out the flames.
Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service’s Group Commander Dan Quinn said: quick-thinking made all the difference.
“Thankfully the very effective response from our firefighters, along with a helping hand from two farmers, allowed us to bring this incident to a safe conclusion.
“Everyone involved should be very proud of their actions at this incident, which could have been a lot worse if not their rapid response and assertive firefighting.”
