MEMBERS of Droitwich’s SPArkles WI found their own unique way of paying tribute to women who played their part in war efforts.
This knitted wreath was laid at the Droitwich Spa War Memorial on Remembrance Sunday (November 8) by SPArkles president Helen Starks.
The poppies were knitted by member Lisa Chambers and the wreath was put together by Belinda Heywood.
Helen said: “Women, not least from WIs, played their part in the two World Wars and this was a fitting way to remember them and other women who were involved in the conflicts.”
