A FORMER student from Himbleton CE First School sent sparks flying last Thursday (November 12) when he turned up with a racing car to inspire current pupils.
Charlie Hodgson is part of the Birmingham University Race Team. He helped engineer the car for Formula Student – a challenge involving the design and build of a single-seater open-wheel race car.
The racing car, which was third nationally and seventh globally, became the centre of attention for the youngsters who gathered excitedly to have their photographs taken with it.
