Scheme to sponsor Droitwich town centre 'assets' a step closer

THE CONTRACTS which could see Droitwich’s traffic islands, gateway signs and even a bridge sponsored are close to being signed.

The latest news on the deal, with Immediate Solutions Ltd (ISL), was revealed at the last Droitwich Town Council.

The Standard reported in September how ISL had put forward a 20-site proposal for Droitwich which included 14 roundabouts, five gateway to the town signs and a bridge.

ISL estimates each advertising space has the potential to generate between £2,000 and £6,000 per year in revenue.

The system works by ISL sourcing potential advertisers and then working with the council to decide which ones would be best suited to each site.

When they are not being sponsored, the spaces could be used to promote town events and the company maintains an ethical and responsible policy with regard to all sponsors and advertising content.

ISL already works with several other Midlands authority, including Worcester City Council, Birmingham City Council, Evesham Town Council, Solihull Borough Council and Wyre Forest District.
