TOOLS and specialist parts for racing cars worth more than £5,000 have been stolen from a workshop in Hanbury after thieves forced the padlocks off the door.

The intruders took the items, from Hanbury Road, between 10.30pm on November 17 and 8.30am on November 18 and discarded several of the stolen goods near to the main road.

Among the items taken were a blue R-tech Tig Welder with welding gun, two spray guns – one blue and one green, a red and black Snap On Nail Gun, a Makita angle grinder, a Bosch power drill and a set of red and black panel hammers.

A saloon car fire extinguisher system was also taken and two cards were damaged.
