DECORATED Christmas treats made by members of the British Sugarcraft Guild who meet in Droitwich have been delivered to St Richard’s Hospice to raise funds for the charity.

The women of the guild have been busy over recent weeks baking and decorating the 30 cakes they have donated to St Richard’s and they will now be sold, auctioned or raffled to raise funds for St Richard’s.

Tricia Cavell, St Richard’s Hospice’s fund-raising director, said, “These cakes are lovingly crafted.

“Each one is unique and truly beautiful – they almost look too good to eat.

“We are so grateful to the ladies for donating their time and energy in this way.

“All the money raised will be used to provide compassionate care to patients at the end of their lives and to support their loved ones.”

Ann Newton who chairs the group said: “We really enjoyed creating these cakes for the hospice.

“Each year our ladies have come up with some amazing designs to suit all tastes.

“It’s an annual labour of love and we are delighted to see them generating money for a wonderful cause.”
