RESIDENTS have a few days left to take part in Droitwich’s Christmas Times competitions.
The drive, which began on December 1, offers discount vouchers and through the special Droitwich Advent Calendar, there are gift ideas and prizes up for grabs every day.
Forty local businesses put up discount vouchers, ranging from money off coupons to special deals and prizes already won via the Droitwich Advent Calendar have inclued free meals, a food and drink hamper, gifts and beauty treatments.
The draws will continue every day until Thursday (Christmas Eve) when there will be a bumper prize worth more than £700 given away.
Sue Allen from new business Flowers of Elegance presented resident resident Ruth Bourne with the prize she scooped – a bouquet.
She said: “We’ve been amazed at the welcome and support we’ve received from the lovely people of Droitwich so giving a discount voucher and a prize was a great way to say thank you and a very merry Christmas to them all.”
Wychavon District Council, town businesses and the producers of the town’s visitor guide and website teamed up to put on the Christmas Times.
