A NEW film night for the young people of Droitwich Spa will be launched on February 24.
On the opening evening, which runs at the Norbury Theatre from 5pm until 7.30pm, Avengers: Age Of Ultron will be screened for those aged eight to 19.
It is being started after a link-up between Droitwich Spa Youth Council and the Norbury Theatre.
Tickets, at £3 per person, will be available from Droitwich Library and there will be refreshments on site.
There are only 150 places available so those wanting to see the film are urged to get in quickly.
Droitwich Spa Youth Council was launched at Salt Fest last year and was primarily for students at the High School.
But, because the level of interest was so high, it is now open to anyone from any school across Droitwich.
One of the organisers of the youth council, Sital Harris, told The Standard: “We have a lot of exciting things planned over the coming months for the young people of Droitwich Spa.
“Support is also building from local businesses which has given us more scope with regard to the amount and range of activities we can put on.
“We still want to hear from anyone who wants to get involved – whether they are young people wanting to become members or local organisations wanting to offer any kind of support.”
