THE MYSTERIES of mud will finally be unravelled at Worcestershire Wildlife Trust’s Lower Smite Farm from 2pm to 4pm on Wednesday (February 17) with the help of participants who are up for mucky madness, whatever the weather.
The Trust will be running a range of games and activities aimed at getting children aged five to 12 involved in the great outdoors and getting some fresh air during the half-term holidays.
Hannah Thomas, engagement officer for the trust, said it was an ideal opportunity for youngsters to switch off their games consoles for the day to interact with nature, enjoy the great outdoors and meet new friends.
“Children will be given the chance to unwind and spend quality time outside, which is often difficult during the winter months with daylight drawing in so early.”
The action will include searching deep within the woodland following the footprints to seek out the mysterious creatures that inhabit the wilderness.
Children will then create a ‘mud monster’ to protect the woodland creatures from the primitive predators living deep within the wood.
They will be given the opportunity to plant their own seeds to help the woodland flourish and will discover all the fun that is to be had with mud.
It costs just £3.50 per child to enter. To book, call 01905 754919.
