Droitwich Stroke Club makes urgent appeal for volunteer drivers

Droitwich Editorial 27th Feb, 2016 Updated: 17th Oct, 2016   0

THE ORGANISERS of Droitwich Stroke Club have made an urgent appeal for volunteer drivers to take people to and from the meetings which take place every Friday at Copcut Court.

Those offering their services will need to pick up stroke survivors who all live in the town at 8.30am, in the club’s minibus and, after dropping them off, will need to return at 1.45pm to take them back home.

At the moment, the club only has two members and one of those can only help on alternate weeks. Cover is also needed for when those two drivers are on holiday.

Potential drivers, who need to have the D1 category on their licence, should call the chairman of the Stoke Club Chris Bowden on 01905 775704.
