Droitwich woman inspired to lop locks for top

A DROITWICH woman had her locks chopped off so they could be donated to the Little Princess Trust – a charity which provides real hair wigs to children who have lost their hair through cancer treatment.

Jenny Hopkins paid a visit to Upper Cuts in Driotwich where she had 12 inches of hair chopped off.

She said: “I’ve got very thick hair, which I’ve been growing for about two years.”

Jenny said she was inspired to donate her hair after her niece – who won a battle with cervical cancer – performed as Adele at a fund-raising event.

She said: “My niece told me about the children with cancer she’d met at the event so I went online and found I could donate my hair.”

She added: “I feel light-headed now and very happy with my new style – they did a wonderful job.”
