Renowned quintet returning to Droitwich this Saturday

UNIQUE quintet Opus Anglicanum will make a welcome return to Droitwich next weekend when they perform their ‘Merrily Sing Our Harvest Home’ programme.

The concert, at 7.30pm next Saturday (March 19) at Droitwich Methodist Church, Worceter Road, will feature music by Purcell, Handel, Sullivan, Finzi, Gurney and Elgar and texts by Robert Louis Stevenson, John Arlott, Shakespeare, Samuel Johnson, Dickens and Edward Lear.

The music will be performed by the group and the linked texts will be read by BBC Radio presenter Zeb Soanes.

The event is the 250th concert to have been organised by Droitwich Concert Club and tickets will be £15 for adults and £5 for under 17s.

It is open to non-members and there is easy access and ample parking.
