A MEMBER of Droitwich Arts Network has been handed a prestigious accolade at the Wychavon Community Recognition Awards.
John Dudley, the music festival organiser, was presented with the Art Recognition Award.
In the citation, he was praised for providing numerous opportunities for new and emerging local musical talent, enabling them to perform at Droitwich Spa festivals and at various venues around the town.
The fact he spent a significant amount of time finding new musical talent and arranging them so they could best showcase their skills was also highlighted.
“John has been tirelessly organising music events in Droitwich Spa for the past 13 years, it is difficult to imagine a Droitwich Spa festival without the music that he supplies.
“A number of musicians from the area, that John has promoted, are now enjoying significant national and international success,” it said.
