THE DEATH of a Droitwich woman who was hit by a train last year has been deemed a suicide.

An inquest into the death of Tracey Walker, of East Close, was opened on June 11, a week after the incident. It was heard by a judge who concluded on Wednesday (March 30) that the 50-year-old deliberately threw herself under the train near Upper Wick Lane, in Rushwick and was killed instantly of shock and haemorrhage as well as sustaining multiple injuries.

The court heard how the woman had a significant history of depression and was being treated by mental health services at the time of her death.
