SPA residents and visitors will get the chance to find out more about Droitwich’s historic timber frame buildings at a free event next Wednesday (April 13).
The ‘Droitwich’s Earliest Buildings’ talk will be given by Lyn Blewitt at Droitwich Fire Station’s Training Room at 7.30pm.
There is no parking at the fire station, but there are plenty of spaces nearby.
Although the session is free, donations are requested to cover the cost of printing any handouts, or the notes can be emailed free of charge after the event.
This is the latest event to have been organised by the Historic Droitwich Project.
Lyn will also be giving a series of walks and talks along High Street and Friar Street to include the latest updates on some of the buildings.
All the events are open to anyone interested in their local history and historic buildings and everyone will be made extremely welcome.
Future walks will be held on May 1, June 5, July 3 and September 11 – meeting on those occasions outside St Andrews Church at 2.30pm.
For more on Wednesday’s event or the future walks, call Claire Lloyd 01905 771865.
