THE SECOND edition of the Droitwich Spa Town Guide brochure will be launched this evening (Tuesday).

The 2016/17 guide will be accompanied by a new enhancement for the www.visitdroitwichspa.com website when it is unveiled between 5pm and 7pm at the Tourist Information Centre, St Richard’s House.

As well as the chance to see the new guide, there will also be a demonstration of the revamped website and new features include detail about the town walk, leisure trails in the surrounding countryside, an interactive town map and a comprehensive events guide.

The evening will also enable visitors to see the Heritage Centre and Salt Museum during an extended opening.

The new Town Guide brochure is a joint project between Droitwich Spa Town Council and Wychavon District Council.

The town council is very grateful to Nick and Christine Moreton from the Regional Digital Marketing Company for their lead co-ordination of the project covering both the brochure and tourism website.

The town council also wants to thank all of the local business who have sponsored the scheme through advertising and Janet Yates – Droitwich Spa Business Partnership Manager from Wychavon District Council.

Mark Keld, Droitwich Spa Town Council’s assistant town clerk, said: “The brochures will be widely distributed in the town and the surrounding area and the actual circulation has been extended following the phenomenal success of the inaugural guide during 2015.

“It is hoped that the new edition will be equally well received and help put our town firmly on the map as an exciting and top destination to visit. “
