A SPECIAL event will be held in Droitwich on June 11 to mark the 90th birthday of HM The Queen.

The Two Queens event will be officially opened at 1pm by Droitwich Spa Mayor Roy Murphy and Worcestershire County Councillor Pam Davey, before the Droitwich Beauty Queen Ambassador will be revealed.

From 1.30pm to 5pm, there will be local performers, including a Witton Middle School Showcase, featuring a choir, singers, musicians and drama, magician Dave Jones and vintage jazz swing band Chuck Harriet.

In the evening, there will be the headline act – top tribute band Rhapsody Queen – the five-piece outfit was formed in 2005 after a year in a rehearsal studio and since then they have delighted audiences from all over the World. Tickets for that are just £10.

The event has been organised by The 4Shires Festivals.
