STUDENTS from Witton Middle School received a special visitor this week as Mary Poppins dropped in.
The umbrella-carrying nanny was there to let them know she will be in town over the summer for a week of drama workshops which will lead up to a performance of the show on the final day.
The classes by The Star Project Droitwich run 10am and 4pm from August 1 to 5 with the performance on the Friday evening
Project director Jo Edwards said: “It’s amazing what you can achieve when you are working intensely for a week.
“We have so many parents coming up to us they can’t believe how quickly we have put the production together.”
The series of workshops, including two tickets for the children’s loved ones to see the show, is £99.
