DROITWICH students have been telling tales with the professionals as part of the Voices and Visions festival.
Sarah Mitton visited Westacre Middle School to work with the year seven children to explore storytelling in everyday contexts.
They retold tales of holidays, days at school and those they created themselves based on an everyday objects they were given to write about.
Catherine Doolin, assistant head of year seven, said: “It was a pleasure to see the confidence of the children grow throughout the day culminating in the enthusiasm with which they performed later in the day.
“The day was a great way of challenging our gifted and talented writers alongside the other strategies we use in class.”
