A FAMILY fun day will take place in Tibberton from midday on Sunday (June 12) to mark HM The Queen’s 90th birthday.

Families are invited to take along a picnic to the event which will take place at the field opposite the village hall.

Events, including a treasure hunt, a best crown competition for children, face-painting, a bouncy castle and stalls selling a variety of items, such as books, cakes, crafts and local produce, will begin from 2pm.

There will also be afternoon tea ‘with The Queen’ served alongside a lifesize cut-out of Her Majesty in the village hall. There there will be delicious home-made cakes, strawberries and cream.

There will be sideshows and stalls and entertainment throughout the afternoon from the West Mercia Police Youth Band.

There will be a tombola, hook-a-duck, splat the rat and a fortune teller.

And local vets MacArthur Bairstow and Gibbs are kindly organising a dog agility demonstration and fun dog show which owners can enter their four-legged friends into. Among the classes will be best biscuit catcher.

A great afternoon is guaranteed for all the family, and their dogs.
