EVERYONE at Ombersley Endowed First School and Nursery dressed in red, white and blue for a celebratory picnic to mark The Queen’s birthday.
And nursery pupils also planted bluebells in Ombersley’s Forest School to mark the marvellous milestone.
The occasion will now be remembered every spring when the youngsters go for their annual walk in the adjacent bluebell woods.
Headteacher Caroline Moore said: “The Queen’s 90th birthday is a really special celebration; the children loved getting their hands dirty as well as enjoying a fantastic outdoor learning experience.”
The school’s summer fete – between midday and 3pm on July 2 – will also have a royal theme.
Nursery places are still available at the school. Call 01905 620384 for more information.
