BEDWORTH Brass Band drew in the crowds on Sunday (June 12) when a special celebration for The Queen’s 90th birthday was held in Droitwich’s Lido Park.

The Droitwich Spa Youth Council was on hand to offer waiter service and hand out copies of the programme for the food and drink festival which takes place this weekend.

The music filled the air and, when the heavens opened, the band did a bit of ad-libbing and belted out ‘Singing in the Rain’ much to the delight of the umbrella carrying crowd.

Deputy Mayor Shaun Best hosted proceedings and thanked the Droitwich Spa’s Older People’s Forum for sponsoring the event.

The summer music continues every Sunday at 2.30pm throughout the season with the Worcestershire Youth Jazz Orchestra taking to the bandstand in the Lido Park tomorrow (Sunday).
