WESTACRE Middle School held its very own French Day to coincide with Droitwich Arts Week and the start of Euro 2016.
Year seven pupils got a taste of French cuisine when they learned to make crepes.
They also had a go at playing the traditional French sport of boules and created their own pieces of Pointillism.
A French cafe run by staff and students was set up on the school premises for the year seven pupils who practiced ordering food in French. A taster of the Tour de France using school cycling equipment added to the excitement of the day.
Teacher and head of year seven Catherine Doolin said: “We had a fantastic day where the children sampled French culture and were given opportunities to practice their French vocabulary.
“It was lovely to hear some wonderful French accents.”
Assistant headteacher Paul Barber added: “This day was a great example of our commitment to the Modern Foreign Languages curriculum and It was clear to see pupils inspired by the opportunities put on by our hard-working, committed staff in year seven.
“The children should be incredibly proud of what they achieved today.”
