DROITWICH Cricket Club is staging its annual six-a-side tournament on Sunday (August 28) and is turning the event into a fund-raiser for a cause close to players’ hearts.
Proceeds from the day will be donated to #JSYouCanDoIt, the charity set up in memory of former player Jack Stephens whose life was unexpectedly and tragically cut short at the age of 23 last summer.
Money raised at the tournament will be used to provide grants for people whom finance is a barrier to studying at degree level.
The action gets underway at 10am and will be provided by eight teams which will be competing for the inaugural #JSYouCanDoIt Trophy.
