Former Norbury actor playing Shakespeare roles in Ludlow

AN ACTOR who was a member of Droitwich’s Norbury Theatre and trained at Worcester’s Swan Theatre is playing two Shakespearean roles in a run of shows at the Ludlow Assembly Rooms.

Liam Alexandru is taking to the stage as Demetrius in A Midsummer Night’s Dream and Tybalt in Romeo and Juliet by the Here to There Theatre Company.

The plays are set in 1955 and involve Teddy Boys, Greasers, Steampunk and even live music and Liam describes his roles as ‘a dream come true’.

“To work with incredible casts as two of my favourite Shakespearean characters is an honour.”




The shows run until next Saturday (September 17).

Romeo and Juliet will be performed tomorrow (Saturday), Monday,


Wednesday, Friday and Saturday (September 10, 12, 14, 16 and 17).

The Midsummer Night’s Dream shows are Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.
