A NEW monthly informal service gets under way at Droitwich’s St Andrews Church on Sunday (September 25) with the first one celebrating Harvest.
The fun, lively 45-minute service is suitable for all ages and will feature songs, things to do and items to take home, along with tea, coffee and cake.
Children are especially welcome.
Rev Bev Jameson, Team Vicar Droitwich Spa, Salwarpe and Hindlip with Martin Hussingtree, has introduced the short relaxed service with plenty to do, including songs and Bible stories, after speaking to families which attend the monthly Messy Church.
“But its not just for our messy church families – it is for anyone of any age who would like an informal interactive way to celebrate harvest.”
On Sunday, participants will be able to enjoy cake, take away some apples and learn how to make ‘Herbie the Hedgehog’.
Other Harvest services will be at 8am next Sunday (October 2) at St Augustine Church Dodderhill, 9.30am at St Peters Church Droitwich and 10.45am at St Andrews Church Droitwich and at 10.00am St Michaels Church, Salwarpe.
