A RALLYING call has gone out to Droitwich residents to donate to the campaign to resurface the tennis courts at the town’s Lido Park.
The JustGiving page is due to close next Saturday (October 1) but the fund-raising will continue after that.
Spa mum Elaine Newman who launched the drive wants to make sure that everyone who wanted to pledged some cash has done.
It is hoped £20,000 can be raised to provide half the cash needed to resurface the courts which have become very tired over the years and now have many cracks and dangerous potholes in them.
It is anticipated the project will cost £40,000 and when the initial cash is raised, Wychavon District Council has announced it will match-fund the total to help it reach its target.
