THE RESPONSE to the Historic Droitwich exhibition at the upstairs gallery at the town’s library has been so successful, the collection will now be on show until October 21.
Last Saturday (October 1), as well as the exhibition, residents were able to take along some of their artefacts to show historians and experts to shed some light on the town’s past and to find out more about them.
And tomorrow (Saturday), Lyn Blewitt will be taking people on a free informative history walk which everyone is welcome to.
The stroll will explore ‘Droitwich’s Oldest Buildings’ along Friar Street and High Street and enable participants to find out what ‘Historic Droitwich’ has discovered during its three-year Heritage Lottery funded project, including the latest results of dendrochronology (tree ring dating) research.
Those wanting to take part in the walk should meet outside Droitwich Fire Station, Friar Street, at 2.30pm.
Although the event is free, places need to be booked by calling Claire Lloyd on 01905 771865.
