WESTACRE Middle School held a STEM day for pupils from all the local schools on September 20 to encourage and inspire children in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics.
Over 150 pupils from eight local school took part – students were chosen by their school for demonstrating a real interest and passion for STEM subjects.
Feedback for the day was very positive, with other schools praising the wide variety of engaging activities.
One school representative said: “I wanted to pass on my thanks and congratulations for such a successful day – our year four children came back to school buzzing with excitement.”
The day was organised by Paul Barber, Primary SLE and Computing Leader, who expressed his delight at welcoming pupils from across Droitwich to Westacre.
“To be able give the year four pupils more of insight into how the subjects they learn at school link together was a very rewarding experience.”
The day was also aimed at developing the relationships between the town’s different schools.
