A DROITWICH girl who will shave her head for Children in Need has already exceeded her fund-raising target by almost £1,000.

Brave ten-year-old Maya Pillay from Droitwich Spa High School will face the chop next Friday (November 18) and, as well as raising the cash, she will also be donating her amazing locks to The Little Princess Trust – a charity dedicated to making wigs for children who have lost their hair to cancer treatment.

Maya also aimed to raise £500 for Children in Need, however, she has already raised £1,405.

Maya will her hair shaved at 1.30pm on Friday (November 18) at the Droitwich Spa High School theatre.
