PUPILS and staff from Westacre Middle School in Droitwich held their own special assembly to mark Armistice Day on Friday (November 11).
The youngsters had created their own poppy wreaths and poems on the theme of conflict were written by year seven pupils for the event.
After a two-minute silence, observed by the whole school, pupils did some finger painting to help decorate the word Remembrance.
Some of the wreaths were displayed around and outside the school to remind our pupils and community of the sacrifices made by others
And today on Remembrance Sunday, year seven pupils Katie Phillips and Max Faulkner will join headteacher Donna Evans and deputy Catherine Doolin to lay the Westacre Middle School wreath during the Droitwich Remembrance commemorations in the town centre.
