A RALLYING call has gone out to residents to volunteer at Droitwich Methodist Church on Saturday (November 19) for the annual Operation Christmas Child drive.
People are needed to go along and pack the boxes from 10am.
As well as the packing there will be tea, coffee, a bring and buy stall and lots of festive fun.
The project has been going for more than 20 years and began in conjunction with the Girls Brigade when 39 boxes were sent out.
The popularity has grown and grown over the years.
When the Girls Brigade group closed, Jean and David Shail took over – that was eight years ago.
Now they now put together between 370 and 400 every year.
Jean said: “It really is a magical project that is always well supported by the town.”
