TWO VINES Lane residents are spreading some festive cheer among their neighbours after revealing they are organising a Christmas party at their local pub.
Natalie Stanley and Anne-Marie Harley have invited the rest of the road’s residents to the get together at the Gardener’s Arms on December 17.
Invites have already been pushed through people’s doors and tickets can be ordered from the pair or from the pub.
Natalie said: “Vines Lane is a really friendly place to live and we have a great local on our doorstep so we thought let’s have a festive get together.”
Landlord Simon Berry said: “Local pubs are a dying trade but are pivotal to creating a sense of community.
“I am pleased the regulars want to get together, especially at Christmas time.”
Anyone wanting to go to the party in the pub’s Winchester Suite can pop into the pub or call Natalie or Anne-Marie on the details on the invite.
Tickets, which include a hot pork roll and chips and festive punch on arrival, are £6.
The pair are also urging other residents to organise similar parties in Droitwich to support their local pubs.
