AN AWARD-WINNING Droitwich fish and chip shop is hoping to give back to the community by holding a special Christmas card competition.

Queens Fish and Chip Bar, which has been a fixture on Queen Street for the past 20 years, is asking pupils under the age of 16 and of schools within a two-mile radius to get creative in a bid to win £150 for their school.

The festive cards must be designed with the shop in mind, incorporating either the logo, food they serve or the company colours, brown and orange.

Manager Paul Singh said: “It’s not only a chance for the children in Droitwich to get creative but it’s also a way for us to give back to the community.

“The winning card will be used next Christmas and will be hung proudly on the wall next to all of our awards.

“We are hoping to get a good response so we can make it an annual thing.”

The winner will also receive a £20 voucher to use at Queens Fish and Chip Bar.

The deadline is December 25 and entries must include the child’s full name, age and the school’s contact details.

Entries should be sent by post to Queens Christmas Card Competition, Queens Fish and Chip Bar, 13 Queen Street, Droitwich Spa, WR9 8LA.
