TWO swans covered in engine oil have been rescued from a polluted canal in Stoke Prior.
Volunteers from Wychbold Swan Rescue tended to the birds after receiving a call from a concerned passerby.
Jan Harrigan, from the rescue centre, said: “After the stress of catching the swans we put them in a pool here.
“It was the bottom half of the swans which were dirty with a very black used engine oil.
“We will keep them here and they will be okay.”
The Environment Agency have been made aware of the polluted canal.
