RESIDENTS wanting to extend the festive season can go along to the Norbury Theatre’s annual pantomime which runs for the next three weeks.

Performances of Cinderella take place at the Friar Street venue at 7.30pm tonmorrow (Friday), tomorrow (Saturday), Thursday (January 19), next Friday and Saturday (January 20 and 21) and from January 26 to 28.

There will also be matinees tomorrow (Saturday), Sunday (January 15), next Saturday and Sunday (January 21 and 22) and on January 28.

The story is set in the sleepy village of Stoneybroke and centres around Cinderella whose world is turned upside down when her father Baron Hardup marries the selfish Rubella, bringing Cinderella’s cruel step-sisters, Grizelda and Gertrude home with her to Hardship Hall.

The bumbling Bodgett and Legett are sizing the family home up for demolition and things begin to look bleak but then Cinderella has a chance encounter with Prince Charming and her best friend Buttons and her Fairy Godmother put a plan into action in a bid to get the story a happy ending.

Tickets are £12 or £10 concessions (children 16 years and under, full-time students and adults over 60).
