A WOULD-BE car thief used an electronic device to try and get into a Jaguar in Fernhill Heath but was forced to flee empty-handed.
The incident happened at Stoneycroft Close at 9.20pm on Tuesday (January 10) when the raider was seen running from the scene.
The centre console was lit up on the vehicle but it remained locked – the attempted thief had activated the lights and fled after the vehicle’s owner was alerted.
