AN ONLINE petition has been created as part of the campaign to save Droitwich’s Natwest bank.
We reported before Christmas how resident and Natwest customer Sue Cottam had launched the drive in response by the controversial decision by the banking giant to close its Droitwich branch in June.
Paper versions of the petition have been available to sign in several venues in the Spa, including Brown & Fincher, Lymers the butcher, Executive Cleaners, Emms (haberdashers), the Droitwich Cobbler, Button Tree tea shop, Parks Café and more.
And now Mrs Cottam has started an online list so people can show their support that way.

Bosses at the bank said between 2010 and 2015 there had been a 27 per cent decrease in transactions at the Droitwich branch and a 59 per cent rise in mobile and online banking.
They added mobile transactions had increased by 1,350 per cent and online banking by 400 per cent.
They say, as a result of the change in trends, the branch has seen a decline of 55 per cent from people addressing their banking needs.
