Warning after pensioner falls victim to distraction theft in Droitwich Post Office

Tristan Harris 3rd Feb, 2017   0

A PENSIONER had cash stolen when she was the victim of a distraction theft in Droitwich.

The incident happened between 11.30am and 11.45am at the Post Office in Victoria Square as the pensioner was collecting her pension.

The woman placed a bag of £2 coins onto the counter and as she did she was approached by a woman who asked if the pen on the counter was hers.

The pen then fell on the floor and as the victim bent down to pick it up it is believed the coins were taken by the woman. She had long hair, was slim and was smartly dressed, wearing a blue/turquoise coat.

Witnesses or anyone with any information should call police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
